On 26 January 2022, Lantern Law Firm held a housewarming ceremony at its new location in Building 3, Jinlong Garden, No. 188 Binhe Road, Suzhou New District. 

Director Liu Lunshan made a speech introducing the main situation of the law firm and looking forward to the future vision. Lou Qiang, Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of Huqiu District, affirmed our firm's achievements in party building and praised our firm's construction model in his speech. Tang Haiyan, Director of Y&T Lawyers Law Firm and Deputy Supervisor of the Municipal Law Association, shared the prospects for the development of Suzhou's lawyer industry and called for "seizing the opportunities of the times and setting industry benchmarks" to carry forward the local law firms. Mr. Lu Cheng, Director of Jiangsu Bai Nian Dongwu Law Firm and Chairman of the Association of Bankruptcy Administrators, congratulated the firm on its housewarming and praised the excellent bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation achievements of Lantern.

Afterwards, Secretary Lou Qiang, Chairman Lu Cheng, Director of New Talent Law Firm, Supervisor Shao Luwei of Suzhou Law Association and Director Liu Lunshan of our firm jointly opened the new premises of Lantern Law Firm.

The civil and commercial mediation centre of Suzhou New Distrtrict Dongwu Guolian was inaugurated at our new premises by Dean Fang Xinjun of Soochow University Law School and Director Wu Weihua of our firm. President Xu Yufeng of Beijing Guolian Zhengxin Technology Co., Ltd. introduced the situation via video, and President Fang Xinjun spoke about his expectations for the professional development of our firm. Soochow Guolian Mediation Center is jointly established by Beijing Guolian Zhengxin Technology Co., Ltd., Suzhou Haoli Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Intellectual Property Research Institute of Soochow University. It introduces an excellent full-time mediation team to provide professional and high-quality mediation services for resolving disputes.

After the inauguration ceremony, guests joined our lawyers for a seminar on the development of the legal profession and shared ideas. We were honored to invite Mr Yu Pengming, founder of the famous legal platform New Rules, for a discussion. During the seminar, Mr. Yu shared the underlying logic and innovative models for legal business growth, and proposed successful ways to enter emerging industries and acquire headline clients, in light of New Rules’ practical experience.

Mr. Li Haojiang, President of Suzhou Lawyers Association, then commented on the trend of fierce competition in the law firm industry and suggested that the direction of the law firm's strategy should be determined by grasping the laws of the industry; Mr. Huang Jianxin, Director of Grandall (Suzhou) Law Firm and Secretary General of Suzhou Bankruptcy Administrators Association, discussed the development of lawyers in Suzhou and encouraged law firms to take a systematic professional direction and promote cooperation among specialized law firms; Mr. Liu Qiumei, Executive Director of Beijing Tianyuan (Suzhou) Law Firm and Vice President of New District Lawyers Association, discussed how to experiment with new business and encouraged to explore their own advantages.

After a lively discussion among the guests, the seminar on the development of the legal profession and the housewarming ceremony of Lantern came to a successful conclusion. Together with all colleagues, we will continue to develop more influential professional sectors in the future growth of the firm and move to the next level in the new environment!
